What Grows Between
via Alcova
What Grows Between explores architecture as a living condition rather than a fixed form. Composed of eight vertical columns, the installation operates as an urban hydroponic growing system where plants, materials, and users interact through cycles of care, growth, and feedback. Water circulates continuously, sustaining plant life while responsive bioplastics signal environmental conditions through subtle color shifts. These changes make invisible processes visible, inviting attention and maintenance. Neither object nor infrastructure, the work unfolds as an adaptive environment - proposing interiors shaped by interdependence, variability, and ongoing exchange between living and non-living systems.
