Reflecting Diverseness

During Milan Design Week 2026, studio mo man tai presents Reflecting Diverseness, a site-specific installation in a historic villa at Via Cesare Correnti 14 within the 5VIE district. Following its debut at Dutch Design Week 2025, the project reinterprets Milan’s demographic composition as a sparkling immersive landscape. Based on social data about Italy’s most multicultural city, the installation translates statistics into a field of mirrored flowers. Each element represents a portion of the population, collectively showing a splendid diagram of diversity. Crafted from acrylic leftover mirrors collected by Pyrasied, the flowers transform acrylic bits into a luminous environment that captures light, movement, and the reflections of visitors. Viewers become part of the work itself. By turning data into material and space, studio mo man tai creates a contemplative counterpoint within the intensity of the design week — making diversity visible as a shared and living structure.
