INTERNO 18, a premier Milanese venue, presents "CODE. Nothing Random" for the 2026 Salone. This collaborative project emerges from the convergence of unique brands sharing a commitment to creativity, vision, partnership, research, and the Italian spirit. In CODE, precision is paramount: fragments of code are woven into the diverse materials and surfaces of each brand, harmonized through the vision of designer Giacomo Giacalone, curator and creative director of the interior project. The installation transforms the space into a cohesive visual system where matter, texture, and design are perceived as a single, contemporary visual code. At the heart of CODE lies KANSO by Digital Design , a kitchen island that reinterprets simplicity as a radical gesture. A monolithic presence—essential and silent—it appears as if unearthed and smoothed by time. Surfaces engage in a dialogue of deep textures and organic markings , while light caresses the volumes to reveal their tactile character. Beyond its function, KANSO is an architectural statement; a balance between solid and void, weight and lightness. It is a gathering place where matter returns to its primal purity, discreetly guarded by technology. The project invites discovery through touch, unveiling the technical and aesthetic excellence of the materials at the installation’s core. Drawing on his extensive experience in residential, commercial, and exhibition design, Giacomo Giacalone distills into this project a masterful, measured atmosphere defined by light, matter, and proportion.
