CLOSE UP. The Shapes of Time

Hoper Aperta presents, at the Mangini Bonomi Museum, an exhibition about the temporal, symbolic and formal value of the “image-objects”, on things as they appear and things as they are. Hoper Aperta presents a collection of unique art and design pieces in the beautiful courtyard of the Mangini Bonomi Museum. “Close-up” is intended as a manifestation of poetic imagery, where each individual piece is conceived through a series of ‘literary’ processes, a system of places that are repositories of images and memories, a wandering of forms understood as the art of ‘metissage’. Painting, photography, sculpture, design, and architecture converge to lead the authorial process, which takes us from function to form, from form to image, from memory to invention, and from invention to memory. The form contains an entire temporal sequence of the image, where the present puts the past and future on display, as elements that are inseparable from the system in which the image is placed. Each object is located within its own system and has its own sequence, determined by the continuous movement of points and lines in the space, generated by the poetic imagination. The temporal sequence acts as a narrative movement that leads nowhere and encompasses within it its entire narrative development.
