STEFANO GIORGI participates in 1 Milan Design Week 2026 event.
Giorgi is an innovative artist, he work between
painting, live performance, and multimedia. Since
the 1990s, he has explored the rich tradition of
Chinese ink painting, mastering the expressive
Xieyi (寫意) style. Deeply influenced by Chán (禪)
Buddhist meditation, Giorgi has combined these
practices with traditional European techniques of
oil and watercolor in figurative art.
His creative process embraces the art of breaking
rules to reveal deeper expressions of spontaneity
and control.
A pioneer of immersive live painting since 2007,
Giorgi designed a unique projection system, named
“Aleatoric Painting on Water”. He fuses liquid
colors with video, allowing him to perform
dynamic visual art in real time.
