Shintaro Monden | Head of MEDUM:

After working at domestic design firms and foreign-affiliated PC manufacturers, where he handled product design across a wide range of fields from one-of-a-kind furniture to mass-produced laptops, he heads the in-house design studio MEDUM, driving product development across diverse fields from the boundaries of industrial, graphic, and UI/UX design. His strength lies in seamlessly executing the entire product development cycle̶from design research and concept development to proof-of-concept testing and mass-production design support. He has received numerous awards, including the iF Design Gold, Cannes Lions Gold, and Dezeen Awards Project of the Year. His work has also garnered high acclaim internationally, being selected for the permanent collections of the Pinakothek der Moderne (Germany) and the Design Museum Danmark. He is a juror for the D&AD Awards (UK) 2025 Product Design category.
